So last Friday my hosting company sent me an email saying my site had been defaced and that all of my files and databases were compromised. Of course, the only way to fix the issue was to delete every single file, domain, email, etc on my account. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I didn’t have recent backups of my websites. GAH. This of course happened one week after I renewed my hosting account with them.

So I have spent the last week setting up new hosting at what I hope to be a more reliable company and trying to get my websites back up and running. There are going to be some dead links and some missing images for a while but at least I have my little piece of the internet back. And what have I learned? Always have a backup. Now back to blogging.
